Government and fleet vehicle transport.

GSA Fleet marshalling subcontracts, GSA freight one-time-only moves, DFTS, seized-vehicle transport, state and county fleet moves, and pickup for buyers at DLA, USMS, GSA and GovDeals sales. We bid as a regional carrier and subcontractor, not a national prime.

Where the work is

Five realistic paths for a regional carrier.

GSA Fleet marshalling and auction contracts

GSA Fleet moves roughly 60,000 vehicles a year through regional auction-and-marshalling contractors. Transportation is a separate line item, priced flat within 50 miles and per mile beyond, drive-away or carrier method, and it may be subcontracted. We supply the carrier-method capacity for the Carolinas and Georgia.

GSA freight one-time-only moves

Vehicles and trailers sit outside GSA's standard freight rates, so agencies request one-time-only quotes from approved transportation service providers. Approval happens at Open Season; we quote OTO vehicle moves once approved.

Defense freight (DFTS)

USTRANSCOM's DFTS contract, run by Crowley, moves vehicles among its commodities and pays carriers within 48 hours of proof of delivery. Registration is a carrier portal and a 24-hour review; drivers pass installation checks.

Seized and surplus vehicles

U.S. Marshals and Treasury seized property moves through a national custody contractor and local storage vendors; DLA Disposition surplus is sold to buyers who arrange their own hauler. We subcontract the Southeast legs and haul for buyers.

State, county and school fleets

South Carolina receives state vehicles in West Columbia and disposes through Surplus Property; counties and districts sell on GovDeals and post occasional yard-to-yard RFQs on SCBO. Registered vendor, ACH enrolled, quotes in a day.

Auction-buyer pickup

Won a truck at a DLA, USMS, GSA or GovDeals sale? Send the lot number, the release paperwork and the delivery address. Gate scheduling, winch if it does not run, photos at both ends.

Straight talk

What we will and will not claim.

Direct federal prime awards for vehicle transport are rare and usually bundled into marshalling contracts that require a lot within 50 miles and Service Contract Act wages. Our path is subcontracting to those primes, GSA one-time-only quotes, DFTS loads, seized-vehicle legs, buyer pickups and state or county RFQs. That is a real book of work for a regional carrier, and it is the one we are building.

Questions procurement asks

Straight answers

Are you registered in SAM.gov?

[SAM.gov: active / pending]. UEI [UEI-XXXXXXXXXXXX], CAGE [CAGE], primary NAICS 484230 with 484220 and 484121, SCAC [SCAC]. Our one-page capability statement is on this site.

Do you hold a GSA Schedule?

No, and neither does any car hauler: there is no Multiple Award Schedule SIN for vehicle transport. Government vehicle moves under GSA's Freight Management Program are quoted as one-time-only requests to approved transportation service providers, which is the approval we pursue at each Open Season.

Can you pick up a vehicle I bought at a government auction?

Yes. Buyers at DLA Disposition, U.S. Marshals, GSA Fleet and GovDeals sales are responsible for their own pickup; we handle the gate paperwork, non-runners with a winch, and delivery with a photo inspection.

Do you haul military vehicles?

Non-tactical government vehicles, yes, through GSA Fleet marshalling contractors and as a registered DFTS carrier once approved. Tactical equipment moves under separate programs we do not claim.

Need a vehicle moved for an agency or a buyer?

Send the lot, the release paperwork and the destination. Quote the same business day.
