Auction to your export warehouse.
Exporters buy at Copart, IAA, Manheim and America's Auto Auction and need the units at a loading warehouse before the container cutoff. We pick up with the release, photograph and VIN-check every unit, carry the title when it travels with the car, and deliver to your warehouse around Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, New Jersey or Houston. We don't go into port terminals.

Name a carrier as the transporter on each auction release and give it the warehouse address and receiving hours. Send the title with the unit only if your forwarder needs it there. Prime Trans, a Spartanburg car hauler, runs Southeast auction units to exporters' warehouses around Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, New Jersey and Houston. The exporter or forwarder handles CBP at the port.

U.S. export rules put the paperwork on the exporter. Under 19 CFR 192.2, the person exporting a used vehicle presents the vehicle and its documents, including the original title and two copies, to CBP at the port at least 72 hours before export. CBP also requires Electronic Export Information for every used vehicle, whatever its value. That is your job or your forwarder's. Ours ends when the unit is signed for at your warehouse, with photos taken, the VIN checked and the title handed over if it rode with the car.
Our standard, not a line item.
- VIN checkWe photograph the VIN on the car at pickup and match it to your release. A mismatch at the port becomes your problem, and it starts at the auction.
- PhotosAll sides, the odometer and the interior at pickup, and again at your dock.
- KeysLogged on the eBOL: how many there were, or that there were none.
- TitleIf Copart sends the title with the transporter under your Limited Power of Attorney, or the seller hands it to our driver, we log it on the eBOL and hand it over with the unit.
- ReceivingWarehouses receive by appointment. Give us the window and we deliver inside it.
Each one does it a little differently.
- Copart: Send to Transporter, gate PIN, appointment. The title can travel with the transporter under a Limited Power of Attorney, but Copart does not ship titles overseas.
- IAA: export purchases are routed export transactions. IAA releases the units to your U.S. forwarding agent, and we pick up for that forwarder or through it.
- Manheim: an export-only purchase has to leave the country as soon as reasonably practicable, and it can't be resold, used or altered here.
- ADESA (Carvana): routed-export terms like IAA's, and pickup within seven calendar days.
- America's Auto Auction: release and storage rules are set site by site, and payment has to be on file before release.
No ports. We don't deliver into port terminals or on-port processing yards. From your warehouse on, the terminal leg belongs to your forwarder.
Straight answers
Do you deliver to the port?
No. We deliver to exporters' loading warehouses and consolidation yards, never into a port terminal. The container or Ro/Ro leg from your warehouse is your forwarder's.
Can you carry the title with the car?
Yes, when the auction or the seller releases it to our driver, for example under a Copart Limited Power of Attorney. We log it on the eBOL and hand it to your warehouse with the unit. If your forwarder wants the titles sent separately, send them separately.
Who files the export paperwork with CBP?
The exporter or its forwarding agent. CBP wants the documents at the port of export at least 72 hours before the vehicle leaves, and EEI filed for every used vehicle. The trucker who delivers to your warehouse plays no part in that filing.
Can you collect from several auctions for one container?
Yes. Send every lot, the auction it's at, and the cutoff date at your warehouse. We route one truck through the sales so the units arrive together.
How do you bill export runs?
Per unit, by distance, with a better rate when units ride together. Terms are Net 15 for approved accounts, COD by check, ACH or Zelle, or prepaid by card, ACH or wire.
